According to Rahab's Rope "Kantha is an ancient form of hand-stitch embroidery originating in India. Rural women used the simple running embroidery stitch to hold recycled cloth layers together using threads from old saris and stitching techniques passed down from mother to daughter. Handcrafted in Rajasthan, India, the land of maharajas, medieval forts, and palaces. The intensity and spectrum of color and design is impossible to ignore. Our artisan partner has been a Fair-Trade member for over 30 years."

Since our founding in 2004, our immediate and most all-encompassing focus has been on the victims of sex trafficking by providing aftercare housing.
