Highlands Foundry X Salt Still Collaboration

This piece was created in collaboration with another talented maker Salt Still. We started with vintage handwoven and indigo dyed cloth from Burkina Faso, West Africa to create this one of a kind piece. The fabric is a cotton cloth and is a nice light weight whcih gives a really nice drape to the top. The fit of the top is very relaxed and is one size fits all. It has a wide kimono style sleeve with vents at the bottom to create a flowy Boho feel. It looks great layered over a cami or tube top. The front of the top has a hand knotted fringe bottom hem which was from the original indigo blanket.

After we designed and sewed the top Salt Still added a beautiful hand Sashiko Stitched "Arrow Feather" motif to both sleeves. The color is a soft blue which was hand indigo dyed.
